HOS Crossfire is a 200 Class OSV with 2 Caterpillar 3516B mains, 3 Caterpillar 3406B generators with total horsepower of 4,000 hp.
Krill Systems was asked to complete a fuel consumption survey of the main engines, generators, bow thrusters and bunker. We supplied a vessel survey complete with findings, electrical overview, control station overview, flow meter installation overview, vibration considerations, and suggested flow meter placement.
- Krill Systems provided a ship check with the following objectives:
Identify process conditions, optimal location, flow-meter size and flow-meter electrical requirements - Identify user interface needs and Krill system control station layout.
- Establish best configuration for accuracy and repeatability, direct flow or supply and return flow
- Address any questions from crew members regarding the proposed modifications while onboard
- Provide a Marine Survey Report with key findings, proposed system installation, electrical requirements,
drawings and any required modifications required - Identify components of existing system
