A proven offshore tug of 3000 horsepower, the Monarch is primarily engaged in pushing and towing of Island Tugs large oil barge fleet. In 2003, the Island Monarch underwent a conversion to an articulated pin system with advanced high lift rudders and upgrades for foreign going service.
