Bainbridge Island, WA – Krill Systems Inc., leader in advanced Vessel Fuel Measurement and Monitoring Systems (VFMMS), announces successful installation and sea trial on-board the OSV Hebert Tide, owned by Tidewater Marine.
Tidewater created the “work boat” industry with it’s 1956 launch of the ‘Ebb Tide’, the world’s first offshore vessel tailor-made to support the offshore oil and gas industry. Today, Tidewater has the largest fleet of OSVs in the industry and is the oldest and most experienced provider of marine support services for this vital industry. Tidewater has a global footprint, with over 90% of it’s fleet working internationally in more than 60 countries around the world.
The Krill system will monitor, process and transmit real-time onboard data received from: Two (2) Main Engines; Two (2) Generators; One (1) Bow Thruster, in addition to a full Bunkers reporting package.
Krill Systems collects fuel-consumption data via fuel-flow sensors fitted on each engine and uses Microsoft SQL server database technology to record fuel and other sensor data on board with 2-second resolution and storage capacity of at least one year, with unlimited roll-over capacity. The collected data is transmitted to shore using an on-board communication system (Cellular or Satellite) that provides internet access supporting standard SMTP email protocols. The Krill system transmits customizable reports and sensor data menus in Excel format, to any number of operators, anywhere. There are no monthly fees for the service.
